Reserve List

The Reserved List is a policy where Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has agreed never to reprint certain cards in a functionally identical form. This is done to preserve the value of these cards, particularly in the secondary market where collectors and dealers invest in them. The list primarily includes cards from the early years of the game, as well as a percentage of rare cards from later sets.
