Card Grading

Why Grade Your Cards?
Condition Assessment:
Grading provides an objective assessment of a card's condition, helping collectors understand its quality.
Authenticity Verification:
Grading companies also authenticate cards, ensuring they are genuine and not counterfeit.
Value Determination:
The grade assigned by a reputable company can significantly influence a card's market value.
Grading Process:
1. Evaluation:
Examine various aspects of the card, including:
- Sharpness and wear of the corners
- Condition of the edges, including whitening or damage
- Scratches, bends, or other surface imperfections
- Alignment of the card's image
2. Grading:
Based on the evaluation, the card is assigned a grade, typically on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best possible condition.
3. Encapsulation:
Once graded, the card is placed in a protective, tamper-evident plastic case (slab) with a label displaying the grade and other relevant information.
